Additional First Responder Program Information
Who is Eligible to Participate in the GM First Responder Discount Program?
GM uses ID.me to verify your eligibility. When you go to the dealer you will need your authorization number and a copy of your driver’s license with the license number redacted.
What is the program about?
The GM First Responder Appreciation program is about showing
gratitude for those who are always first. It allows first responders
including firefighters, police — including police officers, sheriffs,
sheriff’s deputies, correctional officers, state troopers and federal
law enforcement officers; EMTs/paramedics and 911 dispatchers and their
sponsored spouse* to get a special offer on the purchase or lease of
select new Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicles. The GM First
Responder Appreciation offer can be combined with most other current
offers to help the most deserving members of the community get an even
better deal. It is our way of saying thank you for all that you do.
Which GM vehicles are eligible?
Many new and unused GM cars; SUVs; crossovers; midsize, light-duty
and HD pickup trucks; and passenger and cargo vans are eligible. Vehicle
eligibility may change over time, so check before you buy.
Can I share my GM First Responder Offer?
Yes; you can sponsor your spouse for the GM First Responder Appreciation Offer.
What is ID.me
ID.me is a federally certified identity verification company based in
the U.S. ID.me includes a Single Sign-on that allows users to digitally
prove their legal identity across multiple websites including
gmfirstresponderappreciation.com. ID.me is the service we use to ensure
you’re eligible for our special offer.
How Do I Take Advantage of the GM First Responder Discount
Firefighters, Police, EMTs/Paramedics and 911 Dispatchers: Visit
ID.me to create an account, or if you already have one, log in with
ID.me, and then on the GM First Responder Appreciation offer landing

The dealer
MUST have your or your sponsored spouse’s authorization number prior to
completing the lease or purchase of an eligible vehicle in order to take
delivery.
What Should I Bring as proof of Eligibility?
Firefighters, Police and EMTs/Paramedics: Once you’ve logged onto our site through ID.me, your identity will be verified, which means you’ll no longer be required to provide proof of eligibility at the dealer. However, you must still take your authorization number — along with a copy of your driver’s license with the license number redacted — to your dealer when you’re ready to purchase or lease a new vehicle.
911 Dispatchers: Participants must present the following, along with a valid authorization number, to a participating GM dealer in order to purchase or lease under the program: A valid, current 911 training and education document or a 911 ID card that contains The Participant’s full name.

- A copy of The Participant's driver's license with the driver's license number redacted.
